Jay Mininberg, along with Co-Owner Roger Boroway, runs the highest producing ITEX office in the nation, volume-wise. Jay enjoys the fact that every day in the barter business is different. He appreciates the surprise of what interesting trade will come together, what cool products his clients will trade or which exciting new customers will join. Mininberg specializes in customer service; always aiming for a favorable exchange for everyone involved. Prior to his success at ITEX, Jay owned a bakery, The Muffin Man, and traded his goods through ITEX. Passion for barter runs in the family; his 19-year-old daughter, Deborah, also continues to build the business at the Fairfield ITEX office. In addition to his achievements at ITEX, Jay recently completed a B.A. from Quinnipiac University. His passions include travel, reading and sports.

Roger Boroway, co-owner of the Fairfield ITEX franchise, has traded for over twenty years. His first deal, bartering a $1700 string of pearls for barter credits, sparked his interest in the barter business. For Roger, barter is a way of life that goes back thousands of years, a limitless means to transact business, a way to move excess inventory and a route to enjoying luxury items. He prefers barter to cash because it relies on his creativity. He specializes in signing up new clients as well as developing the ITEX team. Roger remains ready to jump on new opportunities with each new day.
Besides barter, he is passionate about muscle cars, working out and traveling around the country to play softball. He is featured in the Baseball National Hall of Fame. His greatest achievements include building two lucrative businesses and a car collection.

Ramon Rodriguez, Senior Trade Director for ITEX San Diego, joined the ITEX team in 2007. At that time, the Fairfield office managed 250 members; by 2012, the office had become the largest ITEX office, servicing over 1800 accounts. In 2010 the office acquired the San Diego ITEX Exchange.
Ramon enjoys the ability to create any deal he can envision and has facilitated more than $15 million in transactions over the last five years. He looks forward to watching the company double in size again in the next five years. Even though Ramon enjoys facilitating the larger multi-thousand dollar deals, he finds the greatest satisfaction in helping people acquire the goods and services that make a difference in their lives:
Taking a vacation they might otherwise not afford or giving their kids orthodontics when the treatment might otherwise be out of their price range.
Besides putting together creative deals, Ramon is passionate about his family and classic cars.

Al Connolly, a Trade Director at ITEX since the fall of 2007, specializes in customer relations. He ensures his clients receive the best trading experience possible and helps them maximize their trade dollars for the best goods and services to suit their needs. Al enjoys the dynamic nature of the barter system: working with a wide array of clients, the camaraderie of the Fairfield ITEX office and “bartering with the best.”
Al grew up in Trumbull, and received a degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley University, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He intends to continue creating fulfilling relationships with the people he cares about and his personal passions include technology, economics and finance.

Justin Schietinger, Trade Director, has worked with the ITEX team since 2009. He enjoys the barter business because of the freedom to use his creativity to make deals happen. Justin specializes in helping clients plan deals and use the barter system to save and make money.
Besides dreaming up deals, he works as a DJ. Raised in Trumbull and Rhode Island, Justin has a girlfriend and plans to hit six figures before the age of 30. He also intends to become Deputy Chief of the Fire Department. Justin passed the Emergency Medical Technician exam at the top of his class and surpassed the million dollar CTV (cash trade value) mark during his first year at ITEX.

Dennis O'Reilly, a Trade Director who started with ITEX in 2009, appreciates the uniqueness of the barter industry. He specializes in helping his clients figure out how to use the barter system to acquire the goods and services they need. Dennis enjoys developing many excellent relationships with colleagues and members. Before working in the barter business, Dennis played semi-pro football and was director of merchandise operations for World Wrestling Entertainment.
His passions include his family; father of six children - four boys and two girls - he also is very proud of his two grandchildren..

Mel Murphy, one of ITEX’s top trade directors, specializes in showing clients the availability of goods and services in the system and helping them find the ones they need. He enjoys working with his colleagues and the interesting variety of daily business at ITEX. Mel prefers digital currency over regular currency and enjoys the energy and excitement of the barter business which reminds him of Wall Street.
Before joining the ITEX team, Mel worked as a stockbroker. His passions include spending time with wife and two children and he holds being a good parent as one of his top ambitions.

Brian Zrike has worked with the ITEX team since September 2010. He runs the travel department, assisting clients with travel and hotel accommodations. He also acts as the in-house IT expert for the Fairfield ITEX office. Brian enjoys the fact that every day brings brand-new learning experiences. He likes discovering better ways to help his clients and appreciates that barter frees up cash and resources while expanding one’s mind to transact business in new creative ways.
Besides Brian’s passion for creating an excellent team dynamic, he finds excitement in sports, computers and outdoor activities such as camping boating and hiking. His greatest achievements include earning a college degree.

Ana Primeau, new to ITEX in 2011, but not new to barter, specializes in art and luxury items. She appreciates the great teamwork, good synergy and fun work environment of the Fairfield ITEX office. She likes the barter business because of the extremely interesting variety of clients and businesses. The desire to get more done, to help more clients and to help each other sets Ana and the Fairfield ITEX office apart from other barter companies.
Ana Primeau grew up in Moldova, a small country in Eastern Europe, where she helped her parents run a chicken farm. Besides her tri-lingual talents (she speaks Russian, Romanian and English) Ana received a B.A. in International Relations from the Academy of Economic Studies. Along with her commitment to her clients, Ana likes to travel, read and participate in sports such as hiking, snowshoeing and kayaking. Her greatest accomplishments include becoming a US citizen.

Art Kaliel, a Sales manager based in California, finds it fascinating that barter represents not only a currency, but also a way to communicate. A different way to transact business and approach the monetary system; barter digs in deeper to values than most industries.
Art aims to establish barter as a legitimate currency at the forefront of the market in San Diego. One of his favorite trades consisted of signing up the largest amusement park in San Diego. Art appreciates the high quality system of ITEX - an international, well-run company with a great team.
Art started his career in the printing business. He belonged to Business Exchange International, ITEX’s competitor, until 2005 when the two barter exchanges merged. Art lives in California with his wife Jane and three children. Along with bartering, Art enjoys baseball, poker and chess.

Candace Hartmann, marketing representative for ITEX, has worked in sales for more than twenty years. Candace appreciates ITEX because of the value of its services, the company's integrity and its upbeat atmosphere. She finds the position rewarding because of the true opportunity to help people - assisting business owners to greater success by increasing their cash flow and acquiring the goods and services they need to run their businesses.
Along with her passion for helping business owners improve their bottom line, Candace loves animals and trains dogs. She and her certified therapy dog, Bella Mia, volunteer together at libraries, hospitals and nursing homes. A former ballerina, Candace graduated from the Boston Conservatory of Music and danced with the Boston Dance Company. She now teaches Zumba classes.
